What a fantastic Day!!!!!!
A huge turnout for this yearly event, over 1100 cars and thousands of onlookers and an excellent contribution of 26 of our finest club cars on display. Our club display looked very professional and was well received from the general public, sponsors, our families and friends, and also other clubs.
This was a day that showed incredible team work with plenty willing to help, and a great sense of pride that you would normally expect from a club that has been around longer than 12 months, a credit to you all.
I would like to thank everyone that was involved in the lead up and the running of our part in the event form manning the BBQ to selling raffle tickets and merchandise. With a special thanks to John londos(drinks and quality sausages from his IGA contacts), Manuel Barrera (marquee, tables and BBQ), Angelo Nardi (bread from his Chisholm Bakery), Tess Zarb (GT cup cakes, GT table cloths and lots of help), Roger Pfeiffer (marquee Babar and Club logos, stickers etc), and all the helpers setting up in the morning. Also a thank you to those supporting the Club in the way of purchasing polo shirts and / or caps and raffle tickets.
The Prostate Cancer Council ACT will be handed a cheque for $200 from profits of the raffle ticket sales.
Congratulations to John Apostolopoulos on winning Best Club Car On Show (our club) as voted by members and the public, the first Club trophy.
